Released on November 13, 1995, Stripped is the 21st studio album by The Rolling Stones. It's a unique record in their discography because it blends live tracks and re-imagined studio recordings. Six of the tracks are live recordings taken from four 1995 performances, including a cover of Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone" which was the album's first single. The other eight tracks are acoustic studio recordings of songs from the Stones' previous catalog, with the exception of a cover of Willie Dixon's "Little Baby."
The album was well-received by critics and reached No. 9 in both the UK and the US, where it went platinum. The lead single, a cover of Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone", reached No. 12 in the UK, and became a rock radio hit in the US.
