Big Swing Face is the seventh studio album by American singer and pianist Bruce Hornsby, released June 25, 2002 by RCA Records. Produced by David Bendeth and mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound, the album was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York City and Tossington Sound in Williamsburg, Virginia, and marked Hornsby's first studio recording with his touring band, the Noisemakers, as well as his final release for RCA.
Big Swing Face stands as Hornsby's most experimental album, built around post-electronica beats, drum loops, and dense synthesizer arrangements rather than his signature piano playing. The eleven-track set includes Sticks & Stones, which Hornsby has cited as a partial homage to Radiohead's Everything in Its Right Place, along with the extended jazz fusion jam Cartoons & Candy and The Chill, featuring an extended guitar solo from Steve Kimock. The album's title is drawn from a 1963 Buddy Rich record.
