Benjamin Orr's only solo studio album, The Lace, was released on October 6, 1986, by Elektra Records and peaked at #86 on the US Billboard 200 charts. It falls into the genres of new wave, pop rock, and American rock.
Before embarking on a solo career, Orr was previously a member of the new wave band The Cars, known for hits like "Just What I Needed" and "Drive". He was one of the band's lead singers and bassists.
