Talk Radio is a 1988 drama film directed by Oliver Stone. The movie is based on Eric Bogosian's play of the same name and stars Bogosian himself in the lead role. The film explores the controversial world of talk radio and delves into the complex personality of its protagonist.

The story follows Barry Champlain (played by Eric Bogosian), a provocative and confrontational radio talk show host. Broadcasting from a small studio in Dallas, Texas, Barry uses his platform to engage with callers, discussing a range of topics from politics and society to personal issues. His blunt and confrontational style attracts both devoted listeners and fervent critics.

As the film unfolds, it becomes apparent that Barry's on-air persona is intertwined with his personal struggles and insecurities. He grapples with loneliness, isolation, and a general dissatisfaction with life. Throughout the course of the film, the boundary between his on-air persona and his real self begins to blur, leading to moments of introspection and emotional turmoil.
