The Road Home is a live album by Heart, released in 1995. The album features the band performing acoustic versions of some of their classic hits, as well as some lesser-known tracks.
Recorded live at the Backstage Theater in Seattle, the album captures Heart's stripped-down, intimate performance style. The album opens with a powerful rendition of "The River," followed by acoustic versions of "Seasons" and "Crazy On You."
Other highlights include a soulful version of "Dreamboat Annie," and a gorgeous acoustic version of "Dog & Butterfly." The album closes with a moving rendition of "The Road Home," a new track that was written specifically for the album.
Throughout the album, Ann and Nancy Wilson's harmonies are on full display, as are their instrumental skills on acoustic guitar and mandolin. The album is a testament to Heart's enduring legacy and their ability to adapt their sound to different settings and styles.
