Heart is the eighth studio album by the American rock band Heart, was released on June 21, 1985, by Capitol Records. This pivotal release marked the band's transition into mainstream rock, a move that propelled them to their greatest commercial success. Serving as Heart's Capitol Records debut, the album achieved a milestone by becoming their only album to date to top the US Billboard 200 chart. The embrace of a glam metal direction proved to be instrumental in resurrecting the band's fortunes, as evidenced by the eventual quintuple platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
