Chicago VII is the sixth studio album by the American rock band Chicago, released on March 11, 1974. It was their first double album of new material since 1971's Chicago III and remains their final studio release in that format.
The album spawned three hit singles: "Wishing You Were Here," "Call on Me," and "(I've Been) Searchin' So Long" All three songs reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Chicago VII was a commercial success, peaking at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. It has been certified platinum by the RIAA, indicating sales of over one million copies in the United States.
