Produced by Brendan O'Brien, it features hit songs like "Rock 'n' Roll Train," "Big Jack," "Anything Goes," and "War Machine." The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 784,000 copies in its first week in the US. It was certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA. Black Ice also topped the charts in 29 countries, becoming the second best-selling album worldwide in 2008. It achieved multi-platinum status in several countries, including 5x Platinum in Australia and 5x Platinum in Canada.
