ZZ Top's fifth studio album, Tejas, was released on November 29, 1976. The album, which is the final one under their contract with London Records, reached a peak position of number 17 on the US Billboard 200 chart. While it did not achieve the same level of commercial success as its predecessors, it was certified gold by the RIAA on January 18, 1977. Two singles were released from the album, "It's Only Love" and "Arrested for Driving While Blind," neither of which cracked the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.
