Dare to Be Stupid is the third studio album by "Weird Al" Yankovic, released June 18, 1985 and produced by Rick Derringer. Built around parodies of mid-1980s pop hits, the album includes "Like a Surgeon," a parody of Madonna's "Like a Virgin," and "Yoda," a parody of the Kinks' "Lola" that became a fan favorite thanks to its Star Wars connection.
The album also includes "Girls Just Want to Have Lunch," a parody of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," alongside style parodies inspired by Devo on the title track and original material including "This Is the Life" and the closing "Hooked on Polkas" medley. Dare to Be Stupid remains one of Yankovic's most beloved records from his run of 1980s parody albums.
