Warrant's debut album, Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich, was released on January 31, 1989. This glam metal record rocketed the band to fame, reaching number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. It spawned several hit singles, including the power ballad "Heaven" which peaked at number 2, the rocker "Down Boys" reaching number 27, and "Sometimes She Cries" landing at number 20. The album's success was solidified by its iconic cover art, featuring a grotesque caricature of a wealthy businessman, painted by pop surrealist Mark Ryden.
