The Sitter is a comedy film released in 2011, directed by David Gordon Green. The movie revolves around the misadventures of a young college dropout named Noah Griffith, played by Jonah Hill, who reluctantly agrees to babysit three eccentric and troublesome children for a night.
Noah is an aimless slacker who takes on the babysitting gig as a favor to his mother. However, he quickly realizes that he is in for a wild and chaotic night as the children prove to be more than he bargained for. The children include Slater, a troublemaking teenager with pyromaniac tendencies; Blithe, an adopted child with an obsession for celebrity gossip; and Rodrigo, a young boy with a penchant for dressing in girls' clothes.
As Noah tries to keep the kids in check, he finds himself embroiled in a series of misadventures involving drug dealers, car chases, and encounters with eccentric characters. Along the way, he also reconnects with his ex-girlfriend, Marisa, played by Ari Graynor, who is caught up in her own troubles.
As the night progresses, Noah must navigate the challenges of babysitting while dealing with his own personal issues and trying to keep the kids safe. Through the chaos and hilarity, Noah learns valuable life lessons about responsibility, maturity, and the importance of family.
