Taxi is a 2004 action-comedy film directed by Tim Story and starring Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon in the lead roles. The movie is a remake of the 1998 French film of the same name. In this American version, Queen Latifah plays Isabelle "Belle" Williams, a skilled and fearless New York City bicycle messenger who aspires to become a professional NASCAR driver.
The story kicks off when a bumbling and inept police officer named Andy Washburn (played by Jimmy Fallon) accidentally causes a major traffic accident while pursuing criminals. As a result, he loses his driver's license and is left with no choice but to partner with Belle, who uses her exceptional driving skills to navigate the city on her bicycle.
Soon, Andy discovers Belle's driving talents and realizes that her skills could be useful in solving a series of bank robberies committed by a gang of beautiful female thieves. Together, they form an unlikely duo to apprehend the criminals, using Belle's unconventional driving techniques and Andy's law enforcement resources.
