Vital Signs is the fifth studio album by the American rock band Survivor and their first to feature lead vocalist Jimi Jamison. The album was fully released in September 1984 and proved to be a major commercial comeback for the band. It achieved significant sales performance, earning a Platinum certification from the RIAA for shipments exceeding 1,000,000 units in the United States. On the Billboard charts, the album peaked at number 16 on the US Billboard 200. The album produced several major hit singles, including "I Can't Hold Back" which reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, "High on You" which peaked at number 8, and the power ballad "The Search Is Over" which was the album's highest-charting single, reaching number 4.
