Restless Heart’s third studio album, Big Dreams in a Small Town, was released on July 15, 1988, by RCA Nashville. This country album produced four hit singles, with “The Bluest Eyes in Texas” and “A Tender Lie” both reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The album’s other successful singles were the title track, which peaked at number three, and “Say What’s in Your Heart.” Big Dreams in a Small Town achieved a peak position of number four on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, indicating sales of over 500,000 units.
