Pink Floyd's The Division Bell is the fourteenth and
final studio album with entirely new material released on March 28,
1994, by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and on April 5 by Columbia
Records in the United States. It was the second Pink Floyd album
recorded without founding member Roger Waters and featured mostly David
Gilmour and Richard Wright on songwriting credits. Notably, it was
Wright's first lead vocal on a Pink Floyd album since The Dark Side of
the Moon (1973). The album features themes of communication and
features the hit songs "Take It Back" and "High Hopes". Despite
mixed reviews, the album reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart
and was certified 3X Platinum by the RIAA.
