You're The One is the tenth solo studio album by Paul Simon, released October 3, 2000 on Warner Bros. Records. Simon wrote, arranged, and produced the album himself, recording at The Hit Factory in New York with engineer Andy Smith, and mastering by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering. The album's personnel include longtime collaborators Steve Gadd on drums and Bakithi Kumalo on bass, alongside Vincent Nguini on guitar and Abraham Laboriel on bass. The record was nominated for the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 2001, making Simon the first artist to be nominated in that category across five consecutive decades. Running time is approximately 44 minutes across eleven tracks.
