Mick Fleetwood's debut solo album, The Visitor, was released on June 29, 1981, by RCA Records. It was recorded in Ghana and blends pop rock with African rhythms. The album reached number 43 on the Billboard 200 chart and remained on the chart for 14 weeks. Two singles were released: "You Weren't in Love" and "Walk a Thin Line," a Fleetwood Mac cover. While the album didn't achieve significant commercial success and didn't receive any RIAA certifications, it remains a unique entry in Fleetwood's discography, showcasing his exploration of world music influences.
