Jungle Cruise is a 2021 American adventure film based on the Disney theme park attraction of the same name. The film follows Dr. Lily Houghton, a botanist, and Frank Wolff, a riverboat captain, as they embark on a perilous quest through the Amazon rainforest to find the legendary Tears of the Moon, a tree said to possess incredible healing powers. Their journey is fraught with danger, including treacherous rapids, deadly wildlife, and a rival expedition seeking the same prize. The movie was released in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on July 30, 2021. It stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Emily Blunt, Jack Whitehall, Édgar Ramírez, and Jesse Plemons. Jungle Cruise was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and produced by John Davis, John Fox, Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia, and Beau Flynn. The film grossed over $220 million worldwide at the box office.
