Centerfield is the third solo studio album by American singer-songwriter and former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty, released on January 15, 1985.
The album is considered one of Fogerty's most successful and beloved works, featuring a mix of roots rock and rock 'n' roll, with themes of baseball, nostalgia, and personal reflection.
"Centerfield" was a commercial hit. It reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, becoming Fogerty's first and only solo album to achieve this feat. The lead single and title track, "Centerfield," also performed well on the charts, reaching No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming an anthem for baseball fans.
