Dickey Betts & Great Southern was the debut album released by the band of the same name in 1977 on Arista Records. The band was formed by Dickey Betts, who was a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, after he left the group in 1976.
The album features Betts on lead guitar and vocals, as well as a number of other talented musicians, including Dan Toler on guitar, David Goldflies on bass, and Mike Lawler on keyboards. The songs on the album are a mix of rock, country, and blues influences, and showcase Betts' songwriting skills and guitar work.
The album includes the popular tracks "Out to Get Me", "Run Gypsy Run".
