Signs of Life, released in July 1984, is the fourth studio album by American rock musician Billy Squier. It marked a shift in production for Squier, with Jim Steinman, known for his work with Meat Loaf, co-producing the album instead of Reinhold Mack who helmed the previous two.
Commercially successful, Signs of Life became Squier's third consecutive platinum-selling record. It debuted at #61 on the Billboard 200 chart, his highest entry at the time, but eventually climbed to #11 and spent nearly a year on the charts. It also reached the Top 10 on Cash Box chart. The album's lead single, "Rock Me Tonite," was Squier's best charting pop hit and his second #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.
