No Nonsense is the twenty-second solo studio album by Barbara Mandrell, released August 21, 1990 on Capitol Records and produced by Jimmy Bowen. Recorded in July 1990, the album leans into a traditional country sound across ten tracks, opening with "Where Are the Pieces of My Heart," one of two songs on the album written by Hugh Prestwood.
The album includes "I'd Rather Be Used (Than Not Needed at All)," a duet with Mandrell's sister Louise Mandrell, along with the singles "Men and Trains" and "I'll Leave Something Good Behind," the latter of which became Mandrell's final charting single. Despite a modest chart run at the time, the closing track is widely regarded by fans as one of the standout recordings of her career.
