Released on November 6, 1979, Harder.....Faster is the eighth studio album by the Canadian rock band April Wine. Recorded at Le Studio in Morin-Heights, Quebec, the album solidified the band's transition into a harder, guitar-driven sound following the addition of third guitarist Brian Greenway. The production, handled by Myles Goodwyn and Nick Blagona, captures a high-energy performance that helped the album achieve Platinum status in the United States and Double Platinum in Canada. It features some of the band's most enduring hits, including I Like to Rock, which remains a staple of classic rock radio for its iconic dual-guitar riff and clever Beatles and Rolling Stones musical quotes. Another standout is the ambitious cover of King Crimson's 21st Century Schizoid Man, showcasing the group's technical proficiency. Harder.....Faster was a commercial breakthrough that propelled April Wine into major arena tours and established them as a premiere hard rock act of the early 1980s.
