Dreams is a comprehensive four CD collection of the band's music released in 1989. The box set includes 52 tracks spanning the band's career, from their early recordings in 1966 to their final live performance in 1976.
The first two CDs of the box set feature studio recordings, including the band's biggest hits such as "Whipping Post", "Midnight Rider", and "Ramblin' Man". The third CD features previously unreleased live performances, including recordings from the Fillmore East in New York City and the Warehouse in New Orleans.
The fourth CD features a variety of rarities and outtakes, including alternate versions of classic songs such as "Statesboro Blues" and "One Way Out". It also includes solo tracks from band members such as Duane Allman's "Happily Married Man" and Dickey Betts' "Long Time Gone".
The box set comes with a comprehensive booklet that includes photos and detailed liner notes by music journalist David Fricke, providing insight into the band's history and their place in the southern rock genre.
