A Man Called Otto, released on December 29, 2022, is a comedy-drama film directed by Marc Forster, with a screenplay by David Magee. It's an American remake of the Swedish film A Man Called Ove, which itself is based on the novel by Fredrik Backman. The movie stars Tom Hanks, who also produced, alongside Mariana Treviño, Rachel Keller, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Truman Hanks, and Mike Birbiglia. Producers include Fredrik Wikström Nicastro, Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman. The film follows a grumpy widower who finds his life changing when a lively family moves in next door. A Man Called Otto grossed over $113 million worldwide against a $50 million budget.
