30 Days of Night is a 2007 horror film directed by David Slade, based on the comic book miniseries by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith. The film follows the isolated Alaskan town of Barrow as it enters its annual month-long polar night, only to come under siege by a group of vampires who exploit the extended darkness to hunt the town's remaining residents.
The film stars Josh Hartnett and Melissa George as the town's husband-and-wife sheriff team, with Danny Huston as the leader of the vampires. Produced by Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert, the film spawned a franchise including a direct-to-video sequel and two miniseries. Runtime is 113 minutes.
