In the Heart of the Young is the second studio album by American rock band Winger, released by Atlantic Records on July 24, 1990. Produced by Beau Hill, the album was recorded and mixed at The Enterprise studio in Burbank, California, and mastered at Sterling Sound. It follows the band's platinum-selling self-titled 1988 debut and reached number 15 on the Billboard 200, going on to achieve platinum certification in the US.
The album showcases the band's blend of glam metal and progressive-tinged hard rock, led by singer and bassist Kip Winger alongside guitarists Reb Beach and Paul Taylor and drummer Rod Morgenstein. It includes the singles Can't Get Enuff, Easy Come Easy Go, and Miles Away, along with the extended title track In the Heart of the Young and fan favorites Rainbow in the Rose and Baptized by Fire. Total running time is approximately 44 minutes.
