Tokyo Godfathers is a 2003 Japanese animated film directed by Satoshi Kon and co-directed by Shogo Furuya. The film is a heartwarming yet poignant tale that follows the lives of three homeless individuals living in Tokyo during Christmastime.

The story revolves around the unlikely trio: Gin, a middle-aged alcoholic; Hana, a transgender woman; and Miyuki, a runaway teenager. On Christmas Eve, while rummaging through the garbage for food, they discover an abandoned newborn baby. Feeling compelled to find the baby's parents and give her a proper home, the trio embarks on a journey through the bustling streets of Tokyo.

As they navigate through the city's underbelly, facing various challenges and encountering a colorful cast of characters, including gangsters, prostitutes, and street performers, they gradually reveal their own personal histories and struggles. Along the way, they also confront their own demons and reconcile with their past mistakes.
