The Best of the Three Tenors is a 2005 compilation released by Universal Music Enterprises as part of the 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection series. The fifteen-track set gathers solo recordings by José Carreras, Luciano Pavarotti, and Placido Domingo, drawn largely from Neapolitan songs and operatic arias, rather than performances recorded together as the Three Tenors in concert.
Highlights include Pavarotti's rendition of Che Gelida Manina from La Bohème and his interpretation of La Fleur Que Tu M'Avais Jetee from Carmen, Domingo's Nessun Dorma from Turandot and Una Furtiva Lagrima from L'elisir d'amore, and Carreras' performances of O Sole Mio and Core 'Ngrato. The collection spans each tenor's individual catalog rather than their collaborative Three Tenors concert recordings.
