Released in March 1989, Yellow Moon is the critically acclaimed seventh studio album from the legendary New Orleans musical institution, The Neville Brothers. Produced by Daniel Lanois, the album is a masterful "musical gumbo" that blends soul, funk, and R&B with the "swampy dreams" and atmospheric production style for which Lanois is famous. The collection features a mix of powerful originals and inspired covers, including two standout Bob Dylan compositions and a soaring rendition of Sam Cooke’s "A Change Is Gonna Come." The track "Healing Chant" earned the group a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance. With guest appearances from artists like Brian Eno and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, this album is widely regarded as the band's most commercially successful and artistically definitive work of the era.
