The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter is a fantasy film released in 1990, directed by George T. Miller. It is a sequel to the 1984 film "The NeverEnding Story," which was based on the novel of the same name by Michael Ende. The movie continues the adventures of a young boy named Bastian Bux as he once again becomes immersed in the magical world of Fantasia.
The plot revolves around Bastian (played by Jonathan Brandis in this installment) who, still dealing with the challenges of the real world, discovers a magical book that transports him back to the land of Fantasia. In this sequel, Fantasia is under threat from the evil sorceress Xayide (played by Clarissa Burt). Xayide seeks to manipulate Bastian into making wishes that will ultimately destroy Fantasia and give her control over the realm.
As Bastian journeys through Fantasia, he is joined by a new companion, Atreyu (Kenny Morrison), who helps him confront the challenges posed by Xayide's dark influence. The duo encounters a variety of fantastical creatures, including the Luck Dragon Falkor, and they must work together to overcome obstacles and save Fantasia from impending doom.
