The Blind Side is a 2009 American biographical sports drama film directed by John Lee Hancock. The movie is based on the true story of Michael Oher, a homeless and underprivileged African-American teenager who finds a new life and opportunities with a caring and affluent family.
Sandra Bullock stars as Leigh Anne Tuohy, a strong-willed and compassionate woman who takes Oher, played by Quinton Aaron, into her home. As she learns about Oher's difficult circumstances and potential, she and her family provide him with not only a place to live but also the love and support he needs to excel.
The film primarily focuses on Oher's journey as he navigates challenges both on and off the football field. With the guidance of the Tuohy family, he develops into a talented football player, eventually earning a scholarship to play for the University of Mississippi.
