The movie was a surprise hit, grossing over $202 million worldwide and becoming the ninth-highest-grossing film of 1990. It stars Judith Hoag as April O'Neil, Elias Koteas as Casey Jones, and features the voices of Corey Feldman (Michelangelo), Robbie Rise (Leonardo), Raphael Sterling (Donatello), and Josh Pais (Raphael) bringing the beloved heroes to life. The film was produced by Jim Henson's Creature Shop, which created the impressive animatronic costumes for the Turtles, and directed by Steve Barron.
