Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is a comedy film released in 2006, directed by Adam McKay and starring Will Ferrell as the titular character, Ricky Bobby. The movie is a parody of the high-octane world of NASCAR racing and satirizes the culture of extreme competitiveness and over-the-top patriotism often associated with the sport.

The story revolves around Ricky Bobby, a dim-witted but exceptionally fast race car driver who becomes a superstar in the world of NASCAR. He rises from humble beginnings as a pit crew member to become a dominant force on the racetrack, thanks in part to his catchphrase, "If you ain't first, you're last." This phrase encapsulates Ricky's philosophy of life, emphasizing the importance of winning above all else.

Ricky's success is challenged when a flamboyant and skilled French Formula One driver named Jean Girard (played by Sacha Baron Cohen) arrives on the NASCAR scene. Girard's arrival disrupts Ricky's winning streak and forces him to confront his limitations. The film also explores Ricky's relationships with his best friend and teammate Cal Naughton Jr. (played by John C. Reilly), his absentee father Reese Bobby (played by Gary Cole), and his children.
