Stranglmartin marks the debut album of the alternative rock band from Dallas, Texas, formed in 1989. Released in 1990 under Dragon Street Records, it serves as the inaugural offering in Stranglmartin's discography. Led by guitarist David Butler, bassist Bill Bruening, and drummer Martin Shearer, the album encapsulates the band's raw energy and fusion of punk and alternative rock elements.

With its gritty lyrics and energetic instrumentals, "Stranglmartin" quickly gained traction within the alternative music scene, despite its independent label release. 

As the band navigated lineup changes, including Bruening's departure and Chad Hurley's subsequent bass contributions, their musical evolution continued.
