Space Chimps 2: Zartog Strikes Back" is a 2010 animated science fiction comedy film directed by John H. Williams. Serving as a sequel to the 2008 film "Space Chimps," the movie continues the cosmic adventures of a group of resourceful chimpanzees.
Led by Comet (voiced by Zach Shada), the son of the hero from the first film, Ham III (voiced by Andy Samberg), and joined by Luna (voiced by Cheryl Hines), the chimpanzees are recruited by the Space Agency X for a vital mission to a distant planet. Their objective: retrieve the precious "Infinity Rock," a potent resource capable of resolving Earth's energy crisis.
Yet, their mission takes an unexpected turn when the malevolent alien Zartog (voiced by John Malkovich) resurfaces and takes control of the mission, stranding the intrepid chimps on the faraway planet. Zartog harbors sinister intentions to exploit the Infinity Rock's power for his own nefarious gain. Unfazed, Comet, Ham III, Luna, and a new ally, the alien Kilowatt (voiced by Laura Bailey), must unite their unique skills to thwart Zartog and safeguard Earth once again.
Navigating unfamiliar terrain, confronting Zartog's henchmen, and employing their wits, the chimpanzee team embarks on a mission filled with challenges and camaraderie. Through teamwork, quick thinking, and determination, they aim to outsmart Zartog and prevent his disastrous plan from coming to fruition.
