Real Life is the ninth studio album by Simple Minds, released April 8, 1991 on Virgin/A&M Records. Recorded across several studios including Wisseloord Studio and Townhouse Studio, the album marked a shift toward a more polished, radio-friendly sound while retaining the band's arena-rock scale.
The album includes "Let There Be Love," "See the Lights," and "Stand by Love," alongside the extended "Banging on the Door" suite and closing track "When Two Worlds Collide." All songs were written by Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, with "Woman" and "Travelling Man" co-written by Judy Lipson.
