Shackleton: The Greatest Survival Story of All Time is a 2002 miniseries that recounts the harrowing 1914 Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition led by Ernest Shackleton. After their ship, the Endurance, is crushed by ice, Shackleton and his crew of 27 men endure a two-year ordeal of survival in the Antarctic wilderness. The film stars Kenneth Branagh as Ernest Shackleton, along with other notable actors such as Kevin McNally, Lorcan Cranitch, and Danny Webb. It was directed by Charles Sturridge and produced by Linda Harvey and Colin Shindler. The film received critical acclaim and was nominated for several awards. It originally aired on Channel 4 in the UK and A&E in the US.
