Sahara is a 2005 action-adventure film directed by Breck Eisner and based on the Clive Cussler novel of the same name. The movie follows the adventurous explorer Dirk Pitt, played by Matthew McConaughey, and his partner Al Giordino, portrayed by Steve Zahn, as they embark on a thrilling quest to uncover a mysterious and long-lost Civil War ironclad battleship hidden in the African desert.
The story takes the duo on an action-packed journey through treacherous landscapes, intense battles, and encounters with a ruthless warlord played by Lennie James. Along the way, they meet Eva Rojas, portrayed by Penélope Cruz, a doctor who becomes involved in their quest.
