Red Eye

Red Eye, released on August 19, 2005, is a thriller film directed by Wes Craven. The movie follows Lisa Reisert, played by Rachel McAdams, a hotel manager who encounters a seemingly charming man named Jackson Rippner, portrayed by Cillian Murphy, on a red-eye flight. Jackson reveals his sinister intentions, forcing Lisa to assist in a plot to assassinate the Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security, Charles Keefe, played by Jack Scalia, by threatening her father, Joe Reisert, played by Brian Cox. The producers of the film include Marianne Maddalena and Chris Bender, and was directed by Wes Craven. The screenplay was written by Carl Ellsworth, based on a story by Ellsworth and Dan Foos. Red Eye grossed $57.9 million domestically and $96.3 million worldwide against a budget of $26 million.
