Deep Breakfast is the second studio album by American new-age composer Ray Lynch, originally released independently on December 12, 1984 and later reissued by Windham Hill Records. Lynch composed, performed, and produced the album himself, recording synthesizer, piano, and guitar, with contributions from Tom Canning on keyboards, Beverly Jacobs on flute, and Ron Strauss on viola. The album became a breakout success on the strength of its opening track, "Celestial Soda Pop," and went on to become the first independently released new-age album certified Gold by the RIAA for sales of 500,000 copies. Album and song titles including "Deep Breakfast," "The Oh Of Pleasure," "Falling In The Garden," and "Tiny Geometries" were drawn from the then-unpublished novel The Mummery. Running time is approximately 40 minutes across eight tracks.
