National Treasure: Book of Secrets is an adventure film and the sequel to the 2004 movie "National Treasure." Released in 2007, the film is directed by Jon Turteltaub and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It once again stars Nicolas Cage as Benjamin Franklin Gates, a historian, and treasure hunter.

In this installment, the story follows Benjamin Gates as he sets out on a new quest to clear his family's name and uncover a hidden truth. The film centers around the mystery of a missing page from John Wilkes Booth's diary, which implicates one of Benjamin's ancestors in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.

To prove his family's innocence, Benjamin, along with his friends Riley Poole (played by Justin Bartha) and Dr. Abigail Chase (played by Diane Kruger), must embark on a globe-trotting adventure. Their journey takes them to various historical landmarks, including the Louvre in Paris and Mount Rushmore in the United States, as they follow a series of intricate clues and puzzles.

Throughout the film, the group encounters various obstacles and adversaries, including Mitch Wilkinson (played by Ed Harris), a treasure hunter with his own motivations. As they delve deeper into the historical mysteries, the team unravels secrets that could change the course of history.
