Monsters vs. Aliens

Monsters vs. Aliens is an animated science fiction comedy film from DreamWorks Animation, released on March 27, 2009, and directed by Conrad Vernon and Rob Letterman and produced by Lisa Stewart. The movie, which grossed $381.7 million worldwide, centers on Susan Murphy, who is hit by a radioactive meteorite on her wedding day, causing her to grow to a height of 49 feet 11 inches and earning her the new name, Ginormica. She is captured by the U.S. government and sent to a secret facility where she meets a team of other monsters: B.O.B. (an indestructible gelatinous mass voiced by Seth Rogen), Dr. Cockroach Ph.D. (a brilliant scientist with a cockroach's head voiced by Hugh Laurie), and The Missing Link (a 20,000-year-old fish-ape hybrid voiced by Will Arnett). The voice cast also features Reese Witherspoon as Ginormica, Kiefer Sutherland as General W.R. Monger, Rainn Wilson as Gallaxhar, Paul Rudd as Derek Dietl, and Stephen Colbert as The President. The monster team is tasked by the military to fight an evil alien overlord named Gallaxhar, who has arrived on Earth seeking the quantonium that transformed Susan, in exchange for the monsters' freedom.
