Matchmaker Mary is a 2008 family-friendly movie that revolves around the story of a young girl named Mary, played by Katherine McNamara. The movie starts with Mary getting an "A" on her sixth-grade final exam, and as a reward, her parents get her a puppy. Mary falls in love with the puppy and realizes the happiness it brings her.

As Mary observes her adult friends who are single and unhappy, she believes that she can bring people together with the help of her lovable puppies. Mary, along with her Aunt Karen (played by Dee Wallace) and Cameron Banks (played by Jeff Fahey), starts playing cupid and calls themselves "matchmaking angels." They start helping people to find their perfect match with the assistance of their puppies.

As they continue their matchmaking activities, Mary's Aunt Karen and Cameron also become a part of their scheme, and they too end up finding their own matches. The trio's matchmaking success continues, and they eventually plan to bring Mary's parents back together.

Throughout the movie, Mary's innocence and passion for matchmaking, along with her lovable puppies, create a heartwarming and uplifting story of love and family. The movie teaches us about the importance of love, relationships, and family in our lives.
