MAD Season 1: Part 1 is a DVD collection that features the first 13 episodes of the animated sketch comedy series "MAD". The series originally aired on Cartoon Network and is based on the popular MAD Magazine.
The episodes are presented in their original broadcast order and include parodies of popular movies, TV shows, and celebrities, as well as original sketches and recurring segments. The humor is irreverent and often satirical, poking fun at pop culture and current events.
Some of the standout sketches in this collection include "Avaturd / CSiCarly", a mashup of the movie "Avatar" and the TV show "iCarly"; "2012 Dalmatians / Grey's in Anime", a parody of the movie "2012" and the TV show "Grey's Anatomy"; and "Super 80's / Captain America's Got Talent", a nostalgic tribute to the 1980s and a spoof of the TV show "America's Got Talent".
