Kasey Chambers' "Wayward Angel," released on May 31, 2004, is her third studio album. Following the success of her first two solo albums, "Wayward Angel" marked a shift for Chambers, who had recently become a mother. The album reflects on themes of self-discovery, motherhood, and navigating life's changes. Produced by her brother Nash Chambers, the album features a blend of country, folk, and world music influences.
While "Wayward Angel" reached number one on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart, its sales didn't quite match her previous platinum-selling album "Barricades & Brickwalls." "Hollywood" served as the lead single, with "Pony" and "Saturated" following later.
