Released on March 21, 1986, Turbo is the tenth studio album by British heavy metal legends Judas Priest. This album marked a turning point in their sound, incorporating synthesizers for the first time and exploring a more commercially-oriented glam metal direction.
Despite this shift, Turbo achieved great success. It reached No. 33 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 17 on the Billboard 200, becoming their highest-charting album until 2005's Angel of Retribution. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified it Gold on June 10, 1986, and Platinum on July 24, 1989.
