John Wayne: The Early Years Collection is a three-DVD set featuring three of John Wayne's early films from the 1930s, all of which were serials produced by Mascot Pictures Corporation. The set was released by Mill Creek Entertainment in 2006.

The films included in the collection are:

    1. "Hurricane Express" (1932): A 12-chapter action serial directed by J.P. McGowan and Armand Schaefer, in which Wayne plays a railroad engineer trying to stop a gang of saboteurs from derailing a train carrying a valuable cargo.

    2. "The Three Musketeers" (1933): A 12-chapter action serial directed by Colbert Clark and Armand Schaefer, in which Wayne plays one of the musketeers, Tom Wayne, who must protect the queen's jewels from a gang of thieves.

    3. "Shadow of the Eagle" (1932): A 12-chapter action serial directed by Ford Beebe and B. Reeves Eason, in which Wayne plays a stunt pilot investigating a series of sabotages at a local airfield.

These serials are classic examples of early Hollywood adventure and action movies, featuring Wayne in some of his earliest starring roles. They offer a fascinating look at the development of the Western hero who would later become a Hollywood legend. The set also includes special features, such as audio commentaries and original trailers, that provide additional context and historical background.
