John Parr's self-titled debut album was released on February 1985 and is the first studio album in his discography. The album produced three hit singles, including "Naughty Naughty," which reached number 23 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 6 on the US Mainstream Rock charts. Other singles were "Magical" which reached number 73 and "Love Grammar" which peaked at number 89 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The album itself reached a peak position of number 48 on the Billboard 200 chart.
